Introduction: HMIWorks Standard Edition is free software for ICP DAS customers, and is used to develop application programs for ICP DAS TouchPAD products. Note: 1. Please remember to update the MiniOS8 with the lastest version to prevent problems. Refer to the following folder (after installation) to update MiniOS8: C:\ICPDAS\HMIWorks_Standard\bin\boot Double-click on the OsUpdate.bat file and follow the prompt procedures to update it. 2. Using 64-bit Windows with USB version of TouchPAD: 1-1. Users may need to remove old USB driver manually. > Right-click on the "My Computer", click "property", "hardware", "Device Manager". > Right-click on the "Stellaris Device Firmware Upgrade" under "LibUSB-Win32 Devices" category. > Click "Uninstall" to remove the device. 1-2. Install the new HMIWorks. 1-3. Connect the USB download cable between the TouchPAD and PC. 1-4. Power up the TouchPAD. The Device-Manager will then use new USB driver now, and a new "Stellaris Device Firmware Upgrade" device under "Stellaris Device Firmware Upgrade" category is crated. Finish the plug&play precedures if required. 3. Using Windows 7/8: A "Windows Security" box with message "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software" may popup when installing the HMIWorks. Please click "Install this driver software anyway" to continue the USB driver installation, else you may not be able to download firmware to the TouchPAD (USB version). 4. Updating USB driver. The new USB driver may need to manually update when using the TouchPAD with USB, such as TPD-280U/430 and VPD-130 models, refer to the above Note 1-1 for more information.
