The newer version hardware(v1.4) changes the LED design.
Thus, the firmware also changes the controlling method.
The firmware version is changed to v1.2.

Important:
If the hareware version is 1.4, the firmware version uses v1.2 or later.
If the hareware version is 1.3, the firmware version uses v1.1 or before.
